Reliefwax was founded in 2020 by Jared Zima with the sole mission of helping athletes battling stress and anxiety on baseball and softball fields. In 2023, Jared decided to expand the company to include additional products with the same goal of making quality handmade products. Zima Athletics now manufactures plyo training walls for weighted baseball and medicine ball training.

Reliefwax's founder Jared Zima started with glove care at an early age teaching himself to fix and care for his own baseball gloves. Over time, he started repairing, relacing, and conditioning gloves for friends and teammates.  After learning more about the benefits of aromatherapy, Jared started work developing a premium leather conditioner and combining aromatherapy's benefits to calm a player’s anxiety. Reliefwax was born.

“In high school I struggled from time to time with anxiety. Some days it was hard enough to go to class, let alone perform on the baseball field. It got to the point where I was feeling anxious during practices and games, and it was hard to stay focused.  I know there are a lot of athletes dealing with stress and anxiety and it’s a big problem facing today’s youth. I wanted to develop a product that was safe and natural to use, and helped players of all ages overcome their anxiety on the diamond.”
